New President and CEO of Dearborn National^® Appointed

Mike Witwer has been selected as the new president and CEO of Dearborn National, effective Nov. 12, 2018. He will manage Dearborn National’s overall business strategy and performance. 

Since joining Dearborn National in 2014, Mike served as vice president and chief operating officer. He led Product Development, Marketing, Business PMO, Account Management, Service Operations and dental markets. Mike has launched projects such as Customer Experience, Voice of the Customer and Disability Enhancement.

Mike has held leadership roles in the employee benefits industry for Cigna, AIG, Prudential and MetLife. He has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Westminster College and an executive MBA certificate from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mike succeeds Greg Benesh, who will retire Jan. 2, 2019. Until then, Greg will serve as an executive advisor and will work closely with Mike on his transition plan. We thank Greg for his outstanding leadership and Dearborn National’s success over the past several years, and we look forward to Dearborn National’s future as it starts a new chapter under Mike’s leadership.
